
2012 has delivered a performance milestone for VIP Express Tourism Limited. On the 12th of December 2012, in the city of Abuja, Nigeria, we won the Federal Capital Advancement Award under the category of “BEST PERFORMING TOURISM ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR”. An award given out annually by Newaves Innovations and Friends of the FCT as an initiative geared towards celebrating uncommon excellence. Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Senator Bala Mohammed has won the Federal Capital Man of the Year award at the recently concluded Federal Capital Advancement Award (FCAA) 2012 in Abuja.
Apart from him, a firm, VIP Express and Tourism won the award for the Best Performing Tourism Organisation of the Year 2012. Its award was received by the firm’s national Sales Director, Jacques Nel at the ceremony and it would encourage its staff to “to do more towards providing quality services for the development of the country.”
In this welcome address, the chairman of the FCAA planning committee stated that the award was aimed at recognizing notable individuals and organizations, who had contributed to the advancement of the FCT to a “mega edifice that could be likened to major development critics in the world.” He added that the award “is not the exclusive preserve of Nigerians alone as it is being erroneously held in some quarters. On the contrary and as it is now obvious that foreign organisations have distinguished themselves in their chosen fields of endeavour.” – Article from “THE SUN”
