Bunny chow
The city of Durban has a reputation of being the curry capital of South Africa, making it a fine destination for foodies as well. In the 1800s, thousands of migrant workers were brought from India to work on the sugarcane plantations. Many chose to build a home in South Africa, and their descendants still live in Durban. A unique trademark of Indian food in South Africa is the bunny chow, a half loaf of bread that has been hollowed out and filled with delicious curry. You have to eat at least one bunny chow when in Durban!

uShaka Marine World is the city’s top-rated tourist attraction. The vast complex incorporates several zones, including a reptile house, a rope adventure park and the Village Walk, an open-air shopping and dining destination.
