Tour of a working diamond mine at Cullinan Diamond Mine. The mining town of Cullinan is home to the Premier Diamond Mine, also known as the Cullinan Mine. After the discovery in 1905 of the largest rough diamond in history, Thomas Cullinan, owner of the mine, at the turn of the century, was a South African explorer. The Transvaal government bought the stone from him and presented it to King Edward VII on the monarch’s birthday.

Gold Reef City Theme Park is one of Johannesburg’s most popular attractions for tourists. The Hartbeespoort Tour, is a beautiful resort town along the banks of the Hartbeespoort River and up the slopes of the Magaliesberg mountain range, roughly 45 minutes from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Hector Peterson Memorial and Museum opened in Soweto in 2002, not far from the spot where 12-year-old Hector was shot on the 16 June 1976 during the Soweto uprising that today is a symbol of resistance to the brutality of the apartheid government.

The Nelson Mandela National Museum, commonly referred to as Mandela House, is the house on Vilakazi Street, Orlando West, Soweto where Nelson Mandela lived from 1946 to 1962.

The beauty of the Pilanesberg is reflected in a large central lake, the Mankwe Dam. Standing above the surrounding bushveld, the park unfolds colourful hues and panoramas; a delight for photographers and guests. Regina Mundi is the largest Roman Catholic Church in South Africa. The Latin ‘Reginae Mundi’ means ‘Queen of the World’ and refers to the Virgin Mary. The church was built in 1961 and officially opened on the 24th of July 1962 by Johannes Baptista Montini, a cardinal of Milan.
