Today we acknowledge all Nigerians for their contribution towards establishing democratic rule in our country; we applaud our heroes of democracy for their strength of mind and sacrifices in upholding democracy in Nigeria.
Today is a special day; we commemorate those who firmly stood up for democracy, those who sacrificed everything in the battle against oppression. Without the many sacrifices we would not be celebrating this day.
As we celebrate democracy day, let’s always remember to pursue equality in all circles of life as an essential condition for peace, prosperity and progress. As we celebrate, let’s re-commit to use our democracy as a tool to help each other to prosper in abundance.
